Research field: art and architecture history

We are a modern university, teaching and researching agriculture, forestry, economic and technical disciplines in regional and international contexts. Since 2018, we have been the holder of the HR Excellence in Research Award for improving employee care, awarded to us as the first Czech university by the European Commission.

In its pedagogical, research, artistic and creative activities, our Department is focused on developing methods and tools of landscape architecture for the application of cultural, artistic and historical contexts in the development of urban and rural environments. A specific form of research is also an authorized project of the institute's pedagogues, which is synthetically reflected in the students' teaching studio.

What will you do?

  • teaching of subjects focused on the history of art and architecture, involvement in the teaching of other subjects according to field specialization
  • conducting lectures, seminars and excursions in connection with the teaching of subjects from the history of art and architecture in connection with the field of landscape architecture
  • conducting lectures and seminars in English language
  • preparation, evaluation of written works, tests and oral exams
  • management of theses and involvement in other professional and pedagogical activities of the workplace
  • publication of results in scientific periodicals, the possibility of involvement in the scientific and research activities of the workplace

What are our requirements?

  • at least Master degree in Art history, Architecture or a related field
  • active knowledge of English language on the level B2
  • the ability to teach in the English language, experience with teaching
  • deep knowledge in the field of theory and development of art, architecture and aesthetics
  • knowledge in the field of theory and development of garden art
  • prerequisites for conducting final theses
  • prerequisites for further professional growth
  • the ability of teamwork
  • moral integrity

Job status: 0,3 (12 hours per week)

Expected start: September 2024

Employment contract: fixed term for the duration of one year with the possibility of extension
