The Division of Optics has a vacancy for a full-time position with a start date by appointment.
Division Deputy Head for Targeted Research
This newly created role is responsible for the preparation and integration of new promising directions into the research activities of the Division of Optics, represented primarily by the development of interdisciplinarity in the areas of new composite and polymer materials and optical and biophysical systems.
An integral part of the work is the coverage of project activities, including the search for new challenges at the national and international level, active networking and deepening collaborations across the research and academic environment. The work will also include, among other things, search for new potential forms of collaboration with partners from various fields (sensors, biotechnology, materials engineering, 3D printing and Industry 4.0).
The new employee is expected to have an understanding of patent and licensing law, leadership skills at a demonstrably high level, and basic knowledge of the economics of European and domestic grant titles.

- Completed university degree, Ph.D. or equivalent in: polymer chemistry, materials engineering or quantum and optical technologies or a related field
