Laboratory Manager

The Director of Central European Institute of Technology (CEITEC MU) opens a position LABORATORY MANAGER Description: The research group of Dr Hélène Robert Boisivon focuses on the effects of plant hormones during organogenesis in flowering plants, and how environmental cues influence the reproduction fitness in Arabidopsis thaliana and related crops. The research group of Dr Tomasz Nodzynski uses cell biology and biochemistry approaches to understand vesicle-dependent protein trafficking and auxin transport interplay in response to environmental signals. You will assist us in the area of plant developmental and cellular biology as part of Hormonal Crosstalk in Plant Development Group and of Developmental and Cell Biology of Plants group of Genomics and Proteomics of Plant Systems Research Programme of CEITEC Masaryk University. Your responsibilities as lab manager will include:
  • Maintenance of the inventory of equipment and supplies
  • Stocking of the laboratory in terms of consumables, plastic-ware, and glass-ware
  • Preparation of laboratory orders
  • Management of the lab material (washing, autoclaving, shelving)
  • Enabling the strict safety procedures and safety checks
  • Communication with other lab managers in the A26 building
Requirements:
  • You have a minimum training with a Bachelor degree in Life Sciences
  • You have a dedicated personality with good communication skills (English, Czech)
  • You are well organized and able to work independently
  • You are a reliable teammate
