NEW TECHNOLOGIES – RESEARCH CENTRE – RESEARCH FELLOW IN THE FIELD OF BIOMECHANICAL MODELLING OF PELVIC FLOOR

RESEARCH FOCUS

The research fellow will join the established team developing the biomechanical finite element model of the female pelvic floor. The model serves for assessing the injury risk during vaginal delivery using various obstetric techniques. The researcher will contribute to improving the finite element model and will assess various obstetric techniques for specific pelvic floor geometry by numerical simulations.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Development of finite element model of female pelvic floor

  • Application of developed model in injury risk prevention during child birth
  • Assessing different obstetric technique using the developed model
  • Consultation with medical doctors
  • Presenting results on recognized international conferences
  • Preparation of scientific papers in the field

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

University education at least in Master level in natural sciences or engineering

  • Practical knowledge on finite element method
  • Knowledge in biomechanics or bioengineering welcome
  • Practical knowledge on tissue reconstruction welcome
  • Organizational, presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to coordinate work systematically and independent creative problem solving
  • Time flexibility, high workload and stress resistance
  • Reliability, responsibility, analytical thinking
