Postdoctoral fellow in computational chemistry

Jan Řezáč Group at IOCB Prague develops efficient computational chemistry methods applicable to biomolecular systems, which are then applied to computer-aided drug design. We are looking for a talented postdoctoral fellow to join our team and work on the development of novel computational approaches at the intersection of semiempirical quantum chemistry, machine learning potentials, and implicit solvation models.

Requirements

  • Experience in computational chemistry, cheminformatics or bioinformatics
  • PhD degree in a related field, obtained no more than 5 years ago
  • Good track record of scientific publications and achievements
  • Excellent computer skills including scientific code development
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English

Additional information

  • Starting date: January 1st, 2027 (with a small margin negotiable).
  • Contract: We offer an initial full-time fixed-term employment contract for one year, with the possibility of extension.
  • Funding: The position is funded by a running grant, with pending applications covering the extension. The successful candidate is welcome to apply for independent postdoctoral funding.
